Peter
McIntyre was a member of a party of twenty-four boys from the Quarrier's
Homes who sailed from Glasgow at 8.15 p.m. on Friday, 28th March, 1930
on the Anchor-Donaldson steamer "Letitia". He arrive safely at "Fairknowe"
(the Canadian home) at midnight on the 7th April, 1930.
Dad passed away December
18, 1997. Dad was aware that I was following up with the Quarrier's Canadian
connection however, he wanted no part in it. Dad always felt that Scotland
had turned it's back on him and that he was forced into slave labour in
Canada.
